Horacio Jiménez, who was born on June 21, 1981, in Patterson, California, passed away on September 16, 2026, in Modesto, California, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to the people and community he cherished.
Horacio was a loving, kind, and thoughtful son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought warmth and steadiness to those around him. He was known as a headstrong man who lived with conviction and purpose, and he was never one to simply follow the crowd. Instead, he led by example through his actions, his loyalty, and the sincere care he showed to his family and friends. Above all else, he loved his family with all his heart, and that love was evident in the way he carried himself and in the deep bonds he maintained throughout his life.
Horacio was a man who gave of himself in meaningful ways. Horacio was a participant and volunteer at CIWP, where he served as a helping hand and contributed his time and energy to supporting others. He was an active member of St. Patrick’s Parish Church, where his faith and fellowship were important parts of his life. His involvement in the church community reflected the spirit of service and connection that defined him. Horacio also had a great appreciation for motorcycles and car shows, especially Harleys, and he found joy in the excitement, craftsmanship that came with those interests.
In his personal life, Horacio was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Los Angeles Lakers, and he followed both teams with enthusiasm and pride. Sports were one of the many things that brought him joy, and he enjoyed sharing that passion with others. He had a strong personality and a clear sense of who he was, and those who knew him best will remember his determination and the unmistakable way he made his opinions known. At the same time, they will remember the tenderness beneath that strength, for he was a man who deeply cared for the people in his life and showed that care in countless ways.
He is survived by his mother, Josefina Jimenez; his brothers, Jaime Jimenez and his wife Norma, and Rene Jimenez and his wife Adriana; his sisters, Corina Jimenez and her husband Jose Lopez, and Marysol Contreras and her husband Lennie; and his nieces and nephews, Carlo Martinez, Damian Jimenez, Zai Jimenez, Zoe Jimenez, and Elena Contreras. He was preceded in death by his father, Conrado Jimenez, and all of his grandparents, whom he held dear in his heart.
Though his time on earth was far too short, the impact he made will endure through the lives he touched and the memories he created. He will be remembered with affection, gratitude, and deep respect by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting for donations to be made to Merced Animal Shelter to remember Horacio memory.
