Jennifer Elaine Bettis

Jennifer was born in Fresno, CA on October 21, 1971. She grew up in Merced and graduated from Merced High School.

Jennifer met and married Corey Bettis and had two sons Cyle and Craig. Cyle and Craig are very active in baseball and Jennifer was active in their endeavor to succeed. The boys were her life support system after her divorce. She also helped raise Maddison Bennett for the past several years and cared for her as she was her own.

Someone wrote “Such a caring spirit Jennifer (our Sunshine) was. She had nothing but the best attitude and love for others. You will be missed for your quirky loveable personality in our lives. Watch over us from your new home and remember always missed and never forgotten Sunshine.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Hiram Reynolds, Doyle and Artela Thompson.

Jennifer is survived by her sons, Cyle and Craig; father, Duane Reynolds (Carolyn); mother, Patty Baer (Frank); grandmother, Thelma Reynolds; aunts and uncles, Joyce Bumgardner (Duane), Michael Thompson (Kate), Dennis Reynolds (Juaniece); and many cousins.

A celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. on July 17, 2012 at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St., Merced, CA 95340 with a reception to follow at the hall.

In lieu of flowers a Scholarship Fund has been set up for her children at Merced Employees Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 1349, Merced, CA 95341. Make checks payable to the Memorial Account for Jennifer Bettis; account # 50405-021.
