Jesus Lopez in San Jose, California on November 26,1959.He passed away
in San Jose, California on January 24, 2022 at the age of 62, when his
heart was heavenly lifted home, surrounded by his family.
Jess Lopez was a son, brother, father, grandfather, tio, nino, and friend to many. He is survived by his three children: Jess(Jr.), Mercedes, and Robert. His eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Along with five siblings: George, Stella, Paul, Esperanza, and Rosario. Predeceased by daughter Angela, and sister MaryEllen.
After residing in Merced County for a period of years, Jess became his own
builder. A person who constructs, plans, designs, and repairs houses. Jess was a man of many things. However, he found his true calling, as he started working for the "Merced Rescue Mission"as a house Manager- supervisor and Operations. He was a mentor, leader, and great listener. Jess got to do what he loved the best, help people and bring light to people's lives. One of the many things he enjoyed at the mission, was to lead individuals to sobriety in taking back their life. Jess was such a giving and kind person with a BIG heart.
In remembrance of Jess Lopez a visitation service will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 3:00-7:00 pm at Stratford Evan Merced Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 10:30 am.
Followed by burial at Merced District Cemetery-"Garden of Angels."
