Jim worked at Atwater Schools as a custodian for 34 years. However, his true passion was Hot Rods but especially his white Ford Falcon. He also enjoyed going to a variety of restaurants to drink coffee and meet new people. La Casita Mexican Restaurant on 14th Street and Denny’s on 15th Street both in Merced.
Jim leaves behind his wife, Esther DeLeon; parents, Joe and Bertha; sister, Ruth and his 4 dogs that will miss him deeply, Goody, Suzy, Jimmy and Bo.
A vigil service with rosary will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St., Merced, CA 95341 on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 4:00pm-6:00pm. The funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 519 W. 12th St., Merced, CA 95341 on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 10:00am.
