John was born in Merced, California to his parents John and Ruma Bargas on August 19, 1949.
John enlisted in the United State Military Navy and was later honorably discharged. He was a highly esteemed Veteran. After his honorable military service he devoted all his time and love to his ever growing family.
John loved and trusted the Lord and did not question him and when The Lord called him home, he never look back. Though we are deeply sadden and miss our Hero, we know he is dancing with complete joy in heaven, because he finished the race.
He will always be Our Hero!
John was a husband and best friend to the love of his life Gloria Bargas for nearly 50 years, he was also a devoted son and brother to his family, and loving father to his four children.
John is survived by his children John Bargas (Rosa), Celeste Bargas, Monica Bargas and Danielle Howerton (Robert). He was the best grandpa to his grandchildren Louie Bargas, Yvette Valenzuela, Nathaniel Orellana, Maryjane Luna, Fernando Luna, Anthony Bargas, Lily Bargas, Julia Bargas, and Nicolas Nunez, Great Grandpa to Louie Bargas Jr. and Alonzo Bargas, and Uncle (too many to count) and a loyal friend to every friend and stranger.
Johnny is survived wife, children and grandchildren and also his siblings Bill Bargas and his two sisters Gloria Jean and Janet.
John is preceded in death by his parents John and Ruma Bargas, his sister Susan Dunagan.
John finished well! He lived a life of transformed grace, every person that knew him from his previous life was a witness to the transformative power of Jesus Christ in him. He lived a servant's life and modeled a servant's heart. John loved on people, his family and friends with hugs, kisses, smiles and his endless jokes. He was an avid San Francisco 49er fan.
John pointed everyone he had a chance to meet in the direction of Jesus, he was an example of a man driven by his purpose and his faith in God. Though he had a tough exterior, his heart was of gold. John truly loved the way Christ loves and for some, he was the closest example of Jesus's unconditional love for us all.
