Jose Guadalupe Rizo, age 89, of Cressey, California passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024. Jose was born June 25, 1935 in Mexico to his parents Serafina Gutierrez and Pio Rizo. He was a farm laborer.
Jose is survived by his wife Sanjuana R. Rizo (Cressey, CA); his children Ana Ortega (Livingston, CA), Fatima Rizo (Winton, CA), Juan A. Rizo (Cressey, CA), Saul Rizo (Cressey, CA) and Felipe Rizo (Idaho); brothers Graciano Rizo (Colorado), Joaquin Rizo (Mexico) and Merced Rizo (New Mexico); sisters Ramona Rizo (Mexico) and Barbara Rizo (Mexico); his grandchildren Kaylah, Gerardo, Kaleb, Kaili, Michael, Maiya and Alejandro and two great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Serafina Gutierrez and Pio Rizo; his daughter Mary Lupina Rizo; his sisters Maria Rizo and Patrocinio Rizo and brother Jose Rizo.
A visitation for Jose will be held Monday, September 23, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, CA 953416304. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Shrine of Saint Jude Thaddeus, 330 Franci St, Livingston, CA 95334. Graveside following Funeral Mass.
