Joyce “Joycie” Gearldine Fuller, 86, of Merced, California, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025.
Joyce was born in Keota, Oklahoma, on December 29, 1938 to parents Grace Copeland McClary and Tommie McClary. .
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Fuller, and her son, Dennis Fuller. She is also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Murl (Marie) McClary, Ermal McClary, and Jimmie McClary along with sisters; Louise (Ray) Ballard, Ivalene Clay, Marlene McClary, and Ruby (J.T.) Adams, as well as brother-in-law, Doyle Breland.
Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures — especially gardening, baking, and spending time with her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her garden was a reflection of who she was: nurturing, loving, and full of life. She poured love into everything she did.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Dave (Tamie) Fuller and Michael (Laura) Fuller, and daughter Terri (Frank) Heiberger. Forever cherished by her grandchildren, Nicole Fuller, Brooke Fuller, Jeffrey (Christina) Fuller, Dennis (Liz) Fuller, Amelia (Dylan) Botteicher, Derek Heiberger, and Trevor Heiberger. Her memory lives on in her great grandchildren; Dennis Staiger, Hailey Pasley, Kenzie Tamburo, Benjamin Fuller, Hank & Gus Fuller, James Botteicher, Olivia, Derek “Michael”, and Emersyn Heiberger. She is also survived by sisters Barbara “Bobbie” Breland and Velma (Curt) Holt.
Joyce was a devoted Christian and attended Christian Church of the Valley for many years. She enjoyed gathering for bible study and spending time with her friends who shared a love for Christ.
A memorial service honoring Joyce’s life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Stratford Evans Funeral Home in Merced. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate her life and the legacy of love she leaves behind. Reception lunch to follow at Stratford Evans Reception Hall. Burial will be held privately at a later time.
Joycie will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
