Ken was born in Fresno, CA on September 14, 1937. He met and married his high school sweetheart, Ella, in 1955. They settled in Merced in 1972 with their five children; three boys and two girls. He served his country in the US Navy and was a proud veteran. After his military career; he began his 45 year professional career as a local business owner of Pearson's Arco and Pearson's AM/PM, and retired in 2009.
Ken is survived by his wife Ella and children Michael (Kim), Bruce (Lenee), Brian (Marlynda), Linda (Bob) Borge and Shannon (Joe) Moulton. He is survived by 12 grandchildren, and siblings Burl, Maxine, James and Gene.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents Burl and Stella Pearson, brothers, Floyd, Jerrel Pearson and grandson Ethan Moulton.
The family wishes to convey a special thank you to the nurses at Mercy Hospital and to Dr. Brian Sugimoto for their excellent care.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 19, 2013 at First Baptist Church, 500 Buena Vista Dr., Merced, CA 95348 at 10:00am with a luncheon to follow.
