Ladislao Sanchez was born on November 14, 1920 in Pierce, Colorado to Benancio and Susan Sanchez. He was a resident of Planada, California for 85 years. Ladislao worked as a Barber and for Wastewater Treatment in Planada as a Wastewater Tech. He served in the U.S. military, Army Infantry, WWII, Pacific Campaign; he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Planada, the Lions Club, Latin American Club, Comite Pro Fiestas, American Legion # 660, Planada Elementary School Board, Parks and Recreation, and the March of Dimes.
Lasislao is preceded in death by his wife Catalina Sanchez ; his son Alfred Sanchez; parents Benancio and Susan Sanchez and brother Constancio Sanchez.
He is survived by his children Benancio (Sharon) of Merced, Ca., Eduardo (Sharon) of Phoenix, Az., Estela (Richard) Pino of Planada, Ca. and Guadalupe (Greg) Barriga of Planada, Ca., along with 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
There will be a Vigil with Rosary held on March 22, 2018 from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Planada, Ca. A Catholic Mass will be on March 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Planada, Ca. Interment will follow the Mass at Planisburg Cemetery, Legrand, Ca.
