December 25, 1948 to July 26, 2026
Lee Allen Wilson passed away peacefully with his immediate family and loved ones at his side on July 26, 2026, after a brave battle with an infection in the hospital.
A Christmas baby, Lee was born in Maine on December 25, 1948, to the late Wilfred A. Wilson and Eva D. (Daigneault) Wilson. He grew up in Terryville, Connecticut, as the youngest child in the family. Lee spent his childhood playing baseball, practicing with his BB gun and riding his bike along his paper route.
Following high school, Lee answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force, following in the proud footsteps of his older brother.
While stationed in Texas, Lee met the love of his life, Judith (Judy) Ellen Bigham. They were married on April 15, 1972, embarking on a life of adventure together. Lee was deployed to Thailand for a year. The couple later embraced an exotic chapter living in Guam before returning to the USA where they welcomed their firstborn son, Christopher, on April 12, 1982, in Fort Worth, Texas. The family was eventually stationed in Atwater, California, where their youngest son, Matthew, was born on April 7, 1986.
Lee dedicated 24 years of honorable service to the United States Air Force. Following his military retirement, Lee earned his Associate degree while starting a second career at Radio Shack, where he spent 16 years as a valued and reliable presence.
Above all, Lee was a faithful Christian, a devoted husband and a loving father. He found great joy in the simple things in life. He cherished the family dogs and cats over the years and he enjoyed nothing more than lively political or religious banter with anyone willing to join the conversation.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred, his mother, Eva, his brother, Ralph and his sister, Janice.
He is survived and deeply missed by his wife of 54 years, Judy, his two sons, Christopher and Matthew, his sister, Darlene, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Following his wishes, Lee was cremated. His remains, alongside his folded United States flag presented in honor of his 24 years of military service, are currently in the care of his son, Matthew.
