We gather today to honor and remember the life of Liliana Sanchez. Lili was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who courageously battled cancer with strength and grace. Born on July 13, 1988, in Tijuana, Mexico and passed away on May 17, 2026, in San Francisco, California surrounded by the people she loved most.
Lili dedicated much of her life to helping others through her work in the medical field as an Interventional Vascular Technician, where she was respected for her compassion, hard work, and willingness to go above and beyond for both patients and colleagues. She approached her profession with steady purpose and a generous heart, and she earned the admiration of those who had the privilege of working beside her. Her caring spirit extended far beyond her profession and into every part of her life, where she touched others with the same kindness and sincerity that defined her work.
Lili found joy in traveling, attending concerts, spending time at the casino, and most importantly, creating memories with the people she loved. She cherished every moment shared with family and friends, and she embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude. Whether she was enjoying a special outing or simply spending time with those closest to her, she made each experience meaningful. Her laughter, her energy, and her love for life will remain treasured memories for all who were fortunate enough to share them.
On December 7, 2024, Lili married her best friend and the love of her life, Joseph Lubers. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Lili and Joseph gave us the greatest gift of all, baby Isabelle. Joseph and Isabelle will forever carry her love and spirit in their hearts.
She is survived by her loving parents, Raul and Maria Rosario; her siblings, Raul and his wife Tami, Carmelo and his wife Eli, Angelica, and Mari and her partner Mayra; along with her beloved nephews, Noah, Roman, and Emilio, and her niece, Andrea. She is also survived by dear friends and coworkers who will miss her deeply.
Though her time with us was far too short, Lili’s love, strength, and memory will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort, unity, and peace to those she leaves behind.
