Lindsea was born in Modesto on July 19, 1990 to Donald and Vickie Bray, and lived in Atwater for 14 years. She attended Thomas Olaeta Elementary and Mitchell Senior Elementary schools before moving with her family to Merced in 2004. There she attended Merced High School before graduating from Yosemite High School in 2008.
Lindsea was an Atwater Youth Falcons cheerleader for 7 years, competing in cities across California and in Las Vegas before becoming actively involved in the Police Activities League of Atwater, where she especially looked forward to traveling to the Pebble Beach Pro-Am each year.
Lindsea found her partner in life early and married her best friend, Jacob Crabb, in 2011, after 5 years together. Their son, Jacob Jr., was born in 2006.
Lindsea was as comfortable fishing as she was shopping, and she was passionate about cooking. She fostered life and growth, as was visible in her extensive vegetable garden, her beautiful flower beds, and her backyard chicken project. She was generous and lived with open arms, taking in any person or animal in need and giving to those who were underprivileged. Most of all, Lindsea was passionate about her family.
She is survived by her son, Jacob Crabb Jr. and husband, Jacob Crabb of Merced; parents, Donald and Vickie Bray of Merced; siblings, Jessica Bray-Emens (Cary) of Selma, OR, Marisa Newton (Noah) of Fresno, Lee Lansberry (Sharon) of Atwater, Dawna Bray of Merced, Elaina Bray of Modesto, James Bray (Bria) of Atwater, and Donny Bray of Winton; and 19 nieces and nephews, whom she adored.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and dogs, Roo and Bruiser, who were also taken by the fire. She now walks with her mother-in-law, Susan Diane Crabb, 51, who succumbed to her injuries from the fire 4 days after Lindsea.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St., Merced, CA on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 11:00am with graveside to follow at Merced District Cemetery.
