She moved to Merced as a small child where she resided until her passing. She married Edward Thiner in 1961 and together they raised six children. She proudly called herself a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She spent many hours canning and preserving the many fruits and vegetables her husband grew or picked and her jams and jellies were everyone's favorite Christmas gift. She was a long time member of OLM/St. Patricks Catholic Parish and alter society. Many of her days and nights were spent helping at various Knights of Columbus functions. She loved watching sports at little league or major league. She spent many enjoyable hours with her friends and family playing bridge, Okie rummy, or hand and foot.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Thiner, her son, Dean Thiner, and her parents Eldon and Verna Mae Jordan. She leaves behind her children LaVonne Vann (Jim), Lorraine Bocks (Eric), Michael (Judy), Eddie, and Kurt Thiner, seventeen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, her brother Eldon Jordan, and her sisters, Belva Gomes and Colleen Wingfield.
