Lynn Edward Blanson

Lynn “Lucky” Blanson, 69, of Merced, California, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025. Born on August 23, 1955, in Monroe, Louisiana, Lucky was a devoted father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend whose warmth, humor, and generosity touched everyone he met.

Lucky had a lifelong love for classic cars, the New Orleans Saints, and his faithful pit bull, Candi. Known for his easy laugh, quick wit, and big heart, he brought joy to gatherings and comfort to those in need. Above all, he found his greatest happiness in the company of family, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

He is survived by his daughters, Tiffany, Teiosha, and Alyssa; his grandchildren, Zakaria, Zanaya, Joy, Michael, and Alex (deceased); and his siblings, Melvin, Robert, Brenda, Verlinda, and Kimball. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Marshall, Willie, and Ronnie.

Following the service, the family will gather to celebrate what would have been Lucky’s 70th birthday — honoring his life in the way he would have wanted: surrounded by love, laughter, and good company.

Services for Lucky will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the chapel at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral.

Immediately following, we will gather for a celebration of Lucky’s 70th birthday in the reception room, located on-site.
