

Manuela Villarreal Salazar, passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on September 17, 1935, in Raymondville, Texas, Manuela's life was marked by her devotion to family, faith, and community.
Manuela spent her early years living in Raymondville, Texas before settling in Le Grand, California, where she became a cherished member of the community. Her kind-hearted nature and faithful spirit were evident in her roles as a homemaker.
She was a devoted wife to her husband, Tomas Salazar, of Le Grand, California. Together, they raised a loving family, including their children: Manuel Diaz of Le Grand, California; Aurora Villarreal Cerda of Merced, California; Edward Salazar of Merced, California; and Juan Salazar of Victorville, California.
Manuela was preceded in death by her parents, Eligio Villarreal and Consuelo Villarreal, and her siblings Lazaro Villarreal, Dominga Marroquin, and Delia Vargas. She is survived by her brothers, Eligio Villarreal of Merced, California; Juan Villarreal of Le Grand, California; and Leonel Villarreal of Le Grand, California, as well as her sisters, Lupe Lopez of Raymondville, Texas; Trina Marroquin of Patterson, California; and Virginia Saldana of El Mirage, Arizona.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Natalia Solorio, Rico Lara, Eva Diaz, Sara Fierro, Mina Villarreal, Manuela Diaz, Isabella Salazar and Alexis Salazar. She also leaves behind 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Manuela was a devoted member of the Catholic community, where her faith and compassion touched many lives. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her as a kind-hearted and faithful soul.
