Most of my memories of Marc are when were were little. Jenny and I used to pretend the twins were our babies. I remember hearing our parents talking about how Marc stuck a toy up Michael's nose and it was rotting lol. Always seemed like they were getting into some kind of trouble lol. I wish I would have watched my cousin grow into to the amazing man he was. Last memory I have with him is his wedding. Man, was he happy. His smile was so infectious. He was always so sweet and loving. I can't wait to see him in Luna. I love you cousin. 

Marc was hired as a medic shortly after I was hired. Marc and I often worked on the same side of the schedule, and often it was just us on the whole east side for the night. “Welcome to the madness” he would say when you walked in and he was already in the ER waiting for a room. Marc and I were growing as medics and as friends. He would ask me for advice and I him. We went to war every night together and he never seemed to have a bad day.  Nothing but love for Marc, great medic and even greater friend. 
Rest easy brother. 

Marc was such a great guy. I never remember seeing him without a smile on his face, even when he got irritated with something. He always had a smile and had the ability to get others to smile too. He was larger than life and so full of spirit! I met him in EMT school and remember seeing how easily things "clicked" for him. He was always meant to go far in the medical field. I'll miss talking with him and hearing how much he loved Odalys and how excited he was to be a dad. He is absolutely irreplaceable.

I am sad to say that I didn't have the opportunity to know Marc the way most of the people in his life did. But, I can say that Marc was one of the most beautiful souls in every aspect, just from the few interactions we had. I have never met anyone so kind and genuine. The night before his accident, Marc, Odalys, and I shared laughs, food, drinks, and even talked about Luna's name. You can definitely tell just by looking at him that he was so excited to become a dad. His face would light up whenever he would talk about the little family he created with Odalys. There were other heart to heart words he shared, that I will keep with me forever.  I share with you, what we didn't know would be his last photo, so you can see for yourself that on his last night his smile never faded. His joy never strayed. And, he sang his heart out the whole way home. Remember him this way. 🌻💚

We met on the first day of orientation, you becoming a medic and Leticia and I becoming EMT’s.. We all instantly became friends over some snacks that we had brought, and kept feeding you.. Later that week we took our pictures for our ID cards, and I remember making fun of you because of how excited you were for “picture day” and how hard you worked on your hair. I joked that you were more high maintenance than a girl.. (My opinion hasn’t changed, definitely high maintenance.) 
After that we all became really close. We met Odi, and fell in love with your wifey (you definitely got the best of the best with her.) Every BBQ you were the life of the party, and it was always the best times. The memories we made, the things you taught us, the beautiful wife you introduced us to who we instantly became friends with, the beautiful little baby girl you guys created, will always be things I hold closest to my heart.. We miss you Marc, everyday. You are in everything we do. Every time we put on that uniform we do it remembering you and your passion for this job, you’re with us every day. 
We will take care of Odi and Luna. We got it from here brother..

The first time we met was in Orientation. Meg and I per usual brought lots of food and never stopped eating. We all bonded over our love for food and we became your work moms. The rest became history from there. Thank you for being such a great friend and for pushing me to be fearless and challenging me to do the best I could. You never became irritated and always helped me until I understood. You were always the life of the party I am going to miss your lively personality and all the crazy ideas you came up with. Most of all thank you introducing me to Odi. I'll forever be grateful to be in her and Luna's life and for all the memories we were able to share together.

I remember every time you would walk into quarters wearing those aviator style sunglasses.  It always put a smile on my face.  You were a good partner and always had everyone’s back. You were my EMS brother and you will be missed. Rest easy brother, the rest of us will keep the watch. 

Marc was one of the best EMS partners you could hope for; so many shared laughs, time spent talking about his cooking shows and the pleasant aromas at station when he’d heat up his food in the microwave; “just something I threw together”. His clinical insight was impressive to say the least, he was truly a good paramedic. We shared one of the most severe anaphylaxis calls that either of us had ever seen, a 19 year old at the Motel 6 in Livingston that had bitten into a peach and got a nasty surprise. He handled that call with such grace and brought the people that the patient was with such peace of mind... for a man that was 7 years younger than me, he sure taught me a lot. He will be very sorely missed. (Pic is from the 1st of several shifts we had together 😁 )

Agradezco mucho a dios porque mi hija tuvo al mejor de los esposos cariñoso, amoroso, eran la pareja perfecta! Gracias mi querido yerno por aver hecho a mi hija tan feliz y por regalarme a baby Luna,  le contaré lo orgullosa que estaba de ti, porque fuiste un gran ser humano siempre alegre con tu gran sonrisa y tan divertido con tus pequeños cuñaditos, te recordaremos con tu alegría y tu sonrisa tan alegre. I remember being really little and asking my Nina how she could tell the babies apart, and being genuinely concerned that they would get mixed up. I suggested marking the bottom of their feet with permanent marker but my Nina reassured me that she could tell them apart.
Yesi and I used to play that they were our babies. Mikey was her baby and Marky was my baby. We would pretend to feed them and dress them. I remember being so proud pretending that Marky was my baby because he was so beautiful.
Marc was such an exceptional person and he was so loved. IS SO LOVED. He had the biggest heart and the biggest smile.

Primero quiero darte las gracias por todo el amor que le diste a mi sobrina Odalys. 
Ella no pudo tener un mejor esposo, yo no conversé mucho contigo, pero tú actitud hacia ella me decía cuánto la amabas, para tu compadre Daniel y para mi eras un ejemplo en todos los sentidos, un muchacho trabajador, responsable, estudioso y sobre todo una gran persona.
Por eso te elegimos a ti como padrino de bautizo junto a tu esposa odalys para nuestra hija Madison y te prometo que ella siempre te tendrá presente en su mente y corazón.
Siempre estarás presente en nuestras vidas y en nuestro futuro.

Thank you for the sleepless nights as an infant, thank you for the first time you crawled and took your first baby steps right into my arms.  Thank you for the mild terrible 2’s and all the why’s before the no’s came along.  Thank you for the scribbles on the walls and the food fights with your brother and sister.
Thank you for walking into the pre-school without a tear in your eye but joy and excitement.  Thank you for the mud fights in elementary school and the trouble you got into, thank you for your style of wearing bow ties as a teenager, thank you for not breaking any bones during football and lacrosse even though you were accident-prone. Thank you for playing all those board games with me when I knew you would rather be playing video games.
Thank you for the pride I feel knowing that you flew on your own and started the chapter of your life.
Thank you for giving me a piece of your heart and soul in baby Luna.
Thank you for the hugs and kisses, thank you for the millions of times you smiled and made me smile.   Thank you for the countless “I love you mom” Thank you for all the lives you saved as a Paramedic. I hope to live long enough to experience the kind of courage you have displayed at your young age. I know parents teach their children but I have learned so much from you. Thank you for your life, hope, happiness, and unconditional love without boundaries.

I remember sitting next to your mom as she played the videotape of her ultrasound. We prayed for a healthy baby that was all. They circled one head and then another I looked at your mom and she smiled, I looked back at the screen and they had labeled the circles Twin A and Twin B. I said “Twins!” she smiled and nodded and we hugged tightly. I always tell everybody “I prayed for a boy and I guess I prayed too hard!”
A parent should never have to write about their child in past tense it goes against nature. I will forever have you Marc in my thoughts and in my heart. You have touched so many lives, so many people have come to thank me for what you have done for them. You were taken from us way too soon my son. I know in my heart what a great father you would have been, Luna will hear stories of her father and she will smile and laugh, and she will love you.
 I will miss you son.



I remember the day I met baby Marc; my first thought was he is beautiful then I wondered "how am I ever going to tell Marc and Michael apart?" As the eldest cousins I had the joy of playing with all of the little ones, organizing games and enjoying the laughter. Marc always made me feel welcomed and loved, like I belonged; conversations with him could last hours. Maya Angelou said  "at the end of the day people won't remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel" and I will always remember how Marc made me feel.

Will forever miss joking around with you and taking pictures of you with funny snapchat filters and the camera zoomed in all the way.  Can’t wait to tell baby Luna the backstory to every single one of them. So glad my sister got to marry an amazing human like you. Rest in peace ❤️ - your favorite sister in law , or what you would call me “Iris 17 and three quarters”

You will always be that precocious little boy with a sweet laugh. I was so fortunate to be your “Auntie Day” and I will do my best to be there for baby Luna.  

I remember when Andrea left a message on my answering machine announcing, “they’re having a boy (followed by long pause) and another boy” it was such an exciting time. Trujillo twins In our family❤️❤️

On this day, the boys talked to me non-stop from Fremont to Gilroy and shared their extra Pokémon cards with me. They couldn’t believe I didn’t own any. They said, “today is your lucky day, Jennifer, you’re getting all these cards.” So loving sweet and generous.  Always in my heart.

I had a small wedding in 2017, and even though it didn’t work out I’m glad my brother got to see me get married, and I’m honored and privileged to have seen him marry Odalys. I love you Marc.
Rest in Power

One of the very first things I did when I graduated from bootcamp was go on a trip with Marc and Odalys to Disneyland. 
From Marc being the best wingman in the happiest place on earth, to me overeating at and all you can eat sushi restaurant and Marc frantically driving us back to the hotel before I burst, it was the best vacation I have ever had.

My friendship with Marc gave me a second family that in many cases helped me through things my own family wouldn’t. I’m so proud to call Marc not only my friend, but my brother. 
I met Marc when I was 9 years old, and we got in a fight over a girl. I think we got tired, and then both agreed that we didn’t need her, and the two of us should just be friends. That was more than 15 years ago, and I can’t remember what it was like to not have the twins as my friends. Marc was the pretty boy, Mikey the baby face, and I was the “burnt chicken nugget”. Classic friend group! We were brothers before we ever realized it, and my heart breaks knowing that Marc is physically gone. But I see him everyday, in my heart and in the things I do, the things I say, the things I find funny, the relationships I have with friends and family. Marc was such an incredible force in my life that every relationship I have has been influenced by my relationship with him. Mikey is closer to me as a brother than my blood, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I gained two sisters, Steph who’s always looked out for me (even though I was a punk), and Odalys who became my food confidant, going out to eat and then vent about life and our frustrations. Margarita and Michael have been nothing but accepting and loving and kind to me, and call me their son. Nancy and Becky became my cousins and we got really close when we were in high school. If I had never met Marc my life would’ve ended in junior high, when my life had been torn apart for the hundredth time and I was exhausted and tired of existing and Marc told me something along the lines of “I’m right here, if you need to talk.” Something so simple walked me back from the edge, and every time  that edge got more enticing Marc was there to tell me to step back. 
I could never repay Marc for his generosity or his friendship, but I will try my best to make him proud and watch over Luna like he did me. 
Rest in paradise, we love you brother. 

I just want to give my deepest condolences to the family. You all are in my prayers. 

Our favorite memories of Marc are from all the fun times we got to spend with him and Odalys.  From having fun bowling at ten pin in Turlock, to trips to Monterey, teppanyaki dinners at Hino Oishii, fun days at the home show that ended in wine slushies at the house, there are so many great memories!  Breaking in our new pool at the house and having a sleepover with the dogs, and putting things together for your beautiful wedding.  We were so blessed to be a part of your life, and have you for a friend! You had the most infectious laugh and smile, and were always the life of the party! I will never forget when I first met you doing your evaluation during your paramedic internship, and we had an argument over whether you signed your own paperwork for my husband because he's a weirdo and changes his handwriting based on his mood :-) That was hilarious! We love you and miss you terribly!  We will always be there for Odalys and Luna, and know you will be watching over them every day! Thank you for always being such a great friend to Rich
