Marcus Bernard Prince, affectionately called Pookie by his family entered into this world on March 20, 1972 the first day of spring to Genetta Porter and William Prince of San Jose, California. He came to know Christ at an early age and was raised in a God fearing family.
He joined the United States Army in 1990 and thereafter the United States National Guard. He served off and on until the decline of his health. He believed in serving and protection his country and his family.
He was a lover of art and was a talented drawer, photographer, and clay potter. He loved music and the outdoors as well. He had a quiet demeanor until he got to know you and then you would wonder where that quiet guy went.
In the early 90’s he met and married his love Rosie Bell and from this union of 26 years, they had 2 children, boys, Raymond and Alan whom he loved with all his heart.
Our beloved husband, father, son and brother answered his call to go home to be with the Lord peacefully in his sleep on Monday evening, January 13, 2020 at home with his wife and children.
He leaves behind to celebrate his life and mourn his passing his wife Rosetta Prince (Merced, CA) his sons Raymond and Alan Prince (Merced, CA) his mother Genetta Porter (Dos Palos, CA) his sister Melissa Raney (Marvis) (Marina, CA) his aunt and uncle Guynetta and Robert Eltzey (Atwater, CA), beloved aunt Bernice Maple (Rex, GA).
