Maria is survived by her son Vincent Y. Banaga of Virginia, son Ruben Banaga (Lisa) of North Carolina, daughter Olivia Barajas (Carlos) of Atwater, CA and daughter Caroline Madrigal (Cuauhtemoc) of Hughson, CA. She is survived by one sister Katy Mendoza and one brother Manuel Ybarra and seven grandchildren Salvador, Carlos, Victoria, Sebastian, Alicia, Colton and Dominic.
Maria was a resident of Planada for many years, enjoyed Planada Community Day, and attended Sacred. Heart Church. She was a registered nurse for over 35 years serving Merced, Atwater, Turlock and Los Banos patients on dialysis. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family, watching movies such as Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit and The Hunger Games. She loved watching Westerns, Gun Smoke and the Rifleman.
Maria lost her beloved husband of over 50 years Vincent Banaga last year and now she is at peace by his side in heaven.
