Mary Beth Swanson

Mary was a teacher, and her happiest moments were spent with kids with special needs. She never missed an opportunity to help others. Her loving kindness left her handprint on many hearts. She touched many in the community with her wisdom and grace.

Mary’s smile was never brighter than when she was making children laugh, reading, baking treats for others, gardening and camping. Nothing in life meant more to her than her family, especially her grandchildren, Raven, Quinton, Ayden, and Lily. Mary was privileged to be loved by two very special men: Ron Perryman and Steve Swanson.

She will be missed every day by her children, Julie and Lee, her sisters, Kathy (husband Ted) and Ginny, Jenny Mae, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Mary’s life on Saturday, February 4th at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the Merced Senior Center, 755 W. 15th Street to remember Mary’s loving kindness and gentle spirit.
