Mary H. Vaca

Mary H. Vaca, was born on January 19, 1949 in Mission, Texas to Juanita Perez and Luis Perez. Mary passed away surrounded by the family she loved dearly on Tuesday September 11, 2018 in Merced, California at the age of 69. Early in Mary’s life she worked for Foster Farms where she met the love of her life Rosendo Vaca and soon married. Their love story lasted 45 years. Soon after their marriage they moved to Los Angeles, California with their twin boys Carlos and Tony. Later, they welcomed their third son Rosendo Jr. As a young family they enjoyed visiting Disneyland. The family moved back to Merced, California where they were blessed with their youngest children Victor and Alana. Upon returning to Merced Mary went to work as a Teacher’s Aide for Merced City School District where she was there for many years. She then became a legal secretary and eventually opened her own business specializing in tax preparation. She loved helping others through her work but her main passion in life was her family. She loved her children dearly and then had the pleasure of loving her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She adored babysitting them all. Mary is survived by her husband, Rosendo Vaca; sons Carlos Vaca, Rosendo Vaca, and Victor (Yolanda) Baca; daughter Alana Vaca; brothers Luis Perez Alfedo Perez, Guadalupe Perez, Juan Perez, Fernando Perez, Lucio Perez; her sisters Esther Perez, Angie Posada and Isabel Perez. She also leaves behind five grandchildren; Selena Baca, Victor Baca, Nathaniel Baca, Rosemarie Madrigal, Emily Gallegos and six great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by; her beloved son Tony Vaca; her parents Luis Perez and Juanita Perez; brothers David Perez, Ramiro Perez and Reynaldo Perez. Mary touched many hearts and was there for anyone in need no matter what. She was there to help. Mary was a beautiful, caring and forgiving woman she was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B Street Merced, California. Funeral Service will be on Friday September 21, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Merced, California.
