Maurina Elaine Erickson

Merced, CA - Maurina (Rina) Erickson, age 63, passed away on September 11, 2023, in Merced, CA. She was born on November 8, 1959, in Merced, CA, to Martha Lastro and Jack Nolen. She sadly lost her battle with cancer on September 11, 2023 to go dance with the Angels. Maurina was a loving wife, mother, and Ginny. She was loved by so many and touched the lives of so many people. She was fun-loving and extremely talented and crafty. Maurina had a giving spirit and gentle soul and would help anyone in a time of need.

Maurina is survived by her husband Tim Erickson; her children Adam and Linda Erickson; Sarah and Matthew Escoto; and grandchildren Zackary Erickson and Madison Escoto. She is also survived by siblings Kim Nolen, Eric Nolen, Nathan Nolen, and Denise Nolen. She is preceded in death by her loving mother Martha Lastro, father Jack Nolen, stepmother Cindy Nolen, and sister Kelly De La Lasta.

A celebration of Maurina's life will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at 1:30 pm at the Women's Club House in Merced - 707 W 22nd St, Merced, CA with a reception immediately following. Maurina (Rina) has requested that no one wear black, as this is a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
