Michelle Lynn Heitman

Michelle “Shellee” Heitman was born on September 21, 1968 to Frederick “Bud” and Sharon Heitman. She passed away on March 4, 2017 at the age of 48 in Merced, California where she was a lifelong resident.

Shellee will always be remembered for her huge heart and love for the little ones. She was very passionate about children, she had no children of her own but was like a mother to over 17 children throughout her life as a dedicated nanny which she did for 25 years.

Shellee is preceded in death by her grandparents, Dr. Fredrick Heitman, Eleanor Heitman, Louis Gonella and Flora Gonella.

She is survived by her parents, Frederick “Bud” Heitman and Sharon Heitman of Merced, CA; sister, Melissa Coleman of Atwater, CA; nephews, Tracer Coleman of Atwater, CA and Trevor Coleman of Sioux Falls, SD and her niece, Taylor Coleman of Atwater, CA.

Shellee loved her nephews and niece as if they were her own children. She will be deeply missed by them and the rest of the people whose life she touched.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Our Lady of Mercy church located at 459 West 21st Street. Graveside services will follow immediately after at Merced Cemetery District located at 1300 B Street.
