Nicole Louise Fox

Nicole Louise Fox, born May, 28, 1974 in Merced, Ca passed away leaving this world way too soon on Sunday March 7, 2021 at the young age of 46. Nicole spent 10 years taking care of others as a licensed vocational nurse, all while raising three young children. She later became an instructor, teaching CNA classes for Avalon Healthcare before meeting then marrying Shawn Michael Fox in 2005. They spent the early years of their marriage stationed at Camp Pendleton. In 2006, they welcomed a daughter just 8 days before Shawn was deployed to Iraq. When he returned, they settled into the town of Visalia where they worked side by side to build and establish Fox Valley Family Dentistry. They also built close relationships at Visalia First Assembly.

Nicole loved her family fiercely. She loved to cook and bake for them. Her macaroni salad and stuffing at Thanksgiving was what we all looked forward to. She spent her free time reading, gardening, and she loved to send/receive Amazon packages. Nicole could brighten up any room with her contagious smile. She had a special way of connecting with all of her nieces and nephews. Everyone that knew her, knew how big her heart was. To know her was to love her. We will miss her dearly and our lives have been forever changed.

Nicole was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Lee Slate. Nicole is survived by her Mother, Ila Slate of Atwater, her beloved husband of almost 16 years, Shawn Fox, her children Alexis Fagundes (Jeff), Nicholas Leonardo, Nathaniel Leonard, and Summer Fox, along with two stepchildren Keirstyn Fox and Machaela Fox. Nicole had 4 siblings, Brian Bryson (Tara), Shawn Slate (Dina), Kelly Hart, and Tracy Baker, along with three nieces and four nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 11am at Plainsburg Cemetery, 8943 Gillette Road, Merced, Ca. Celebration of her life following the services will be at the LeGrand Legion Hall in LeGrand, Ca.
