Olivia Matta Powell

She graduated from Merced Adult School in 1998. Later, in 2007, she received an associate’s degree from Merced College in accounting. Olivia also received an associate’s degree in criminology from Kaplan College in 2012. Olivia married Ken in September of 1991 in Lakeport, Ca.

The following year she gave her husband a beautiful daughter that she named Corissa Ines. Corrissa and her mother were inseparable. Olivia had a love for outdoor activities. Her favorites were walking, fishing and barbequing.

She also enjoyed watching football games with her husband and daughter. Olivia is a member of friendship Baptist Church in Merced. She took much pride in assisting with activities and programs, including feeding the less fortunate.

Unfortunately and suddenly, Olivia passed away on October 21, 2015. She is survived by her husband, Ken and her daughter, Corissa.

She is now at peace, and reunited with her father Manuel, whom she has missed so much over the years, since his passing.
