Ruben Moreno Amezcua

Ruben was born in Merced, CA on July 30, 1951. He grew up in Planada and resided in the Planada and Le Grand area for the majority of his life where he worked in the Ag. Industry.

Ruben graduated from Le Grand High School where he played football, ran track, played drums in the marching band and was a member of the FFA.

Forty-three years ago he married Rosie Flores of Le Grand, the love of his life. Rosie was his soul mate who lovingly devoted herself to his care.

Ruben enjoyed coaching his sons little league teams and loved fishing with his wife and sons. In later years his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, Bryan, Alyssa, Issac and Rhiana

Ruben was preceded in death by his father, Pedro M Amezcua and his maternal grandparents, Joe and Virginia Moreno of Planada.

He leaves behind his wife, Rosa (Rosie) Amezcua; his sons, Daniel Amezcua of Le Grand and Adam Amezcua (Danielle) of Madera; his mother, Josephine Amezcua (formerly of Planada); brothers, David Amezcua, Richard Amezcua, Ernie Amezcua (Theresa) all of Merced and Raul Amezcua of Fresno; his sisters, RoseMary Amezcua and Helen Amezcua both of Merced, Esther Solem (Dan) of Franklin, TN and MaryLou Oliver of Pittsburg, CA; his 4 grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Always a family man, our dear Ruben leaves a huge void in our lives and we find comfort in knowing he is finally at peace.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29,2014 at 9:00am at Apostolic Church, 13324 E Woodrow, Le Grand, CA followed with a church service 10:00am. Burial will be at Plainsburg Cemetery, 8943 Gillette Rd., Le Grand, CA following the service.
