Susan was instrumental in making HMS's English department so well stocked with books and materials.  She was a joy to work with and is missed both professionally and as a friend.  My sincere condolences, Heather and Jody.

I taught with Susan for many years.   We had great conversations at the xerox machine.  She was so very proud of her daughters.  I remember hearing about their adventures.  Susan was a kind and intelligent woman.  My prayers go out to her family.

I will truly miss Susan.  She was a great friend.  My love goes out to Tim and Jody and Heather and her sister Julie.
It was so hard to see her going downhill like that but I am very sure that she is better off and will be wonderful In her next life as she was in this one.

I had the privilege of teaching with Susan at Herndon Middle School for many years. She was a wonderful teacher with a warm and ready smile, always a kind word, and a shining spirit. She absolutely adored her beautiful daughters, Heather and Jodie, and was so very proud of both of them.  Her Herndon colleagues will remember her with fondness and love. My sincerest sympathies to her family during this difficult time.

Susan was a wonderful teacher, friend, and co-dept chair during my time at HMS. She inspired many students in her career and is sorely missed by her friends.
