Born on January 22, 1955, Ted was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. While we know he has gone on to an eternal reward, he will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
Ted is survived by his wife of 49 years and high school sweetheart, Patti, as well as his daughter, Kelli Ferguson and her husband Brian of Greenville, South Carolina and son Daniel and his wife Sarah of Clovis, California. He will be forever remembered by his nine grandchildren; Allissa, Brennah, Corbin, Macy, Abby, Kinsley, Beckett, Finley, and Pierce. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen Allan, father, Henry Allan, sister, Bonnie Robles, and brother, Rick Allan.
Ted was born in San Jose, California, and grew up in Orange County, California and Salem, Oregon. After graduating from high school, Ted served in the United States Air Force for four years at McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma, Washington as a crew chief on the F-16 fighter jet. Upon his graduation from CSU Stanislaus in 1983, Ted worked as a CPA in Merced until his death.
Ted was always active in his church and had a heart for serving others and sharing his faith. He was an active member of the Merced Breakfast Lions Club for over thirty years, an organization he chose to participate in because of their motto: “We Serve.”
Family and friends are invited to join us in a celebration of life for Ted that will be held at Yosemite Church at 2230 East Yosemite Avenue in Merced on December 27th at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Merced Breakfast Lions Club or Hinds Hospice.
The Allan family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” 2 Tim 4:7-8
