Thomas Spencer Huddleston

Thomas was born March 24, 1926 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Brice and Susanna Huddleston.

He graduated from Merced High School in 1944 and continued his education at Modesto J.C.

He was married to Frances Huddleston, preceded in death.

He was a member of the Saint Matthew Baptist Church; where he served as

Deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years.

His interests included family, gardening, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed helping people, and making you laugh. He served as a foster parent in Merced County over 30 years with his deceased wife. Thomas was a retired custodian at Merced High School.

He is survived by sons, Allen Spencer Huddleston of Merced and Kenneth Huddleston of Las Vegas, NV; daughter In-law, Barbara; grandchildren, Allen Huddleston II, DeMareus Huddleston, Kendra Huddleston, and Kaliyah Huddleston.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service following at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Matthew Baptist Church, 1057 “N” Street Merced CA. Burial will follow at Merced District Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home.
