Tyler was born on April 8, 2004 in Fresno, California. He attended Our Lady of Mercy School from preschool to 8th grade where he was involved in most sports and was 8th grade class president. He then attended El Capitan High School where he participated in basketball, baseball, leadership, and Pacific Club. He graduated ECHS in 2022 and began attending Merced College in the Fall. He was in his 3rd semester at Merced College and was looking to attend a CSU or UC in the Fall of 2024 to continue his pursuit of a Liberal Arts degree with which he was planning to become an elementary special ed teacher. At the end of 2022, he began working for Our Lady of Mercy School as a 6th, 7th and 8th grade P.E. teacher, and he also worked in the Extended Care program after the school day.
Tyler never met a stranger. If you knew him, you were his friend. He loved sports of all types, but was an avid Giants, Warriors, and Raiders fan. He loved spending time with his family and friends camping, hunting, playing Cornhole, listening to music, watching movies, playing with his beloved cat Jules, karaoking, talking Fantasy Football, or just hanging out. He loved to travel including going to Michigan to visit family, going to Aptos for beach getaways, attending Giants games, going to concerts, and most of all going to Malibu to visit Kiki.
Tyler is preceded in death by his Papa Stephen Kelley, Uncle Marcus Minor, Aunt Jennie Martin, Uncle Wido and Aunt Titi Fierro, and cousins, Louie Minor and Cornel Minor. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Kristine Minor, his brother, Matthew Minor, and the love of his life, Kiyoko Ysela Ramirez Bush. He is also survived by his Opa and Oma, Vincent and Delia Minor, and his Grammy Marlene Kelley. He is survived by his Uncle Vinny Minor, Uncle Dave Minor (Aunt Angela), Uncle Jason Kelley (Aunt Sue), and cousins, Gabriella Flores, Chase Minor, Conner Kelley, Taran Kelley, and Aden Kelley. He is also survived by countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom he was very close to.
Tyler was an amazing young man who has left an impact on so many, May he rest in peace with the Lord and fly high with the angels. He will live on in our hearts until we meet again. He had a strong faith and treated those around him how he would want to be treated. In honor of Tyler, his family asks that you share your own kindness and smile with others just as he did with so many.
