Valentina Carini Patterson

Valentina Carini Patterson was born on March 27, 1922 to Vincent Carini and Lina Lotti Carini in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania and peacefully passed away on December 27, 2015 surrounded by her family. She lived in Miami, Florida for 10 years working for the federal government during the war as a "Rosie the riveter." She met her husband Dwight on a visit to San Francisco. She resided in the Bay Area and Northern California before settling in Snelling. She was a grand lover of life, enjoyed music, dancing, cooking, gardening, nature and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dwight Lewelling Patterson; and husband Neil Hailstone; parents, Vincent Carini and Lina Lotti Carini; her brother, Anselmo Carini and her sister Lenora Asbury.

Valentina is survived by her daughter, Tina Patterson Lemos and her husband Doug of Atwater, their children Matthew Lemos of Antelope and Ashley Lemos Fessenden and her husband Kyle of Monterey;

her daughter Lisa Patterson Schrole and her husband Daniel and their daughter Sarah Austin Schrole of Atwater.

She is also survived by her cherished Pomeranian, Lexie. She also leaves behind many friendships made through the years that were very near and dear to her heart.

A memorial mass will be held Friday, January 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 617 E. Yosemite Avenue, Merced, Ca. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Snelling Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations in honor of Valentina may be made to Snelling – Merced Falls Elementary school, P.O.Box 189, Snelling, Ca, 95369 and Last Hope Cat Kingdom, 6660 Bailey Rd, Atwater, Ca.
