Everett and Rick Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery with

Stephens Funeral Home handling arrangements. Mrs. Buffington passed away

Thursday in Specialty Hospital. She was a dedicated member of Duffee Church of

Christ for over 60 years and she enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, cooking and growing flowers. She was a cafeteria worker and the first female bus driver

for Beulah Hubbard School. Her surviving family includes Mike (Kathy)

Buffington of Collinsville, Gail (Randall) Saxon of Collinsville, Sue Rainer Beadles

of Little Rock and Darlene (Roger) Davis of Decatur. Her grandchildren surviving

are Steven (Becki) Saxon, Lee Saxon, Lee (Mandy) Buffington, Ken (Stephanie)

Buffington, Justice Rainer, Adella Rainer Gilbert and Allen Davis. She also leaves

great grandchildren Lizzie Saxon, Jeremy Key, Michael Lee Buffington III, Cody

Buffington, Pierce Allen Gilbert, Josie Saxon, Caden Buffington, Hannah Rainer,

and Dalton Rainer and her brother W. J. “Dub” Rigdon of Meehan with a host of

nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, husband

Vernal Buffington of 56 years, grandson Jamey Rainer, father Arnold Rigdon, mother Lee Williams Rigdon and siblings Amos Rigdon, Otis Rigdon and Billy Ray

Rigdon. Pallbearers serving are Steven Saxon, Lee Saxon, Lee Buffington, Ken

Buffington, Allen Davis, Wayne Rigdon, Raymond Buffington, Dennis Rigdon and

Donnie Rigdon, Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Key, Michael Lee Buffingon III,

Cody Buffington, Calvin Lynn Alexander, Roland Buffington and Glenn Buffington.

Visitation will be Sunday 2 to 5 pm at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to

service in the church.
