Houston Leon Anderson

Services for Mr. Houston “Leon” Anderson will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wayne Campbell will be officiating. Special music will be provided by Cheryl McElhenney, Rindy Pierman, Mike McNeil and Daniel McNeil. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Mr. Anderson, 78, passed away Tuesday in Meridian. He was a retired truck driver, having served 32 years with Roadway. He enjoyed hunting and fishing along with racing, but his true love was his grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his daughters, Becky Lockley and husband Wayne, Regina Anderson and Jenny Anderson, grandchildren, Samantha Hagwood and husband Jon, Chance Anderson-Thomas, Marci Lockley, Maylee Lockley and McKenna Laird. Mr. Anderson is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Jaylin Sollie and Zoey Hagwood along with his nephews and niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Newton and Ellie Mae Anderson, a brother, a sister and a granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Ty Clark, Jason Clark, James Smith, Mike Brackeen, James Thomas and Scott Nunley.

Visitation will be at Stephens Funeral Home on Thursday from 6pm to 8pm.
