Katherine T. Poole

Services for Katherine T. Poole will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014, at 10am at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Collinsville. Rev. Curt Pace and Rev. T.J. Jennings will officiate, with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Poole, 96, passed away Monday, February 3, at Golden Living Center in Meridian. She was born October 13, 1917 in Pine Springs, MS, the daughter of Grover C. and Flavie Brown Townsend. She was retired from Burnley Shirt Factory. Mrs. Poole was a faithful member of Pine Forest Baptist Church for over 83 years. She was loved as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Gwendolyn (Ricky) Williamson; son, Rodger (Joyce) Poole; grandchildren, Cindi (Charles) Nicholson, Vanessa (Jeff) Lee, Kim Harding Ogden, Darrell (Michelle) Harding, Danny (Jane) Harding, David (Teresa) Harding, and Jessica (Eric) Galvez; brother, Everett Lee (Jane) Townsend; 19 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Poole is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Clarence O. Poole; her parents, Grover C. and Flavie Brown Townsend; sisters, Ruth and Sarah Alice Brown; brothers, Elliott, Cecil, and Prentice Townsend; and grandson Brian Harding.

Visitation will be Friday, February 7, from 5-8 at Stephens Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to Pine Forest Baptist Church Building Fund.
