
Services for Mavis Helen Mathews will be held Thursday, April 4, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in First Baptist Church of Collinsville Cemetery. Rev. David Sellers will be officiating.
Mrs. Mathews, 83, of Brandon (formerly of Collinsville) passed away April 2 at Brandon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Brandon. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Collinsville where she enjoyed being a part of the Outreach Ministry.
She is survived by her daughters, Kay McKee of Florence, Barbara Reeves of Raymond, sisters, Ann Killen (Jack) of Collinsville and Sue Harvey of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mickey Reeves (Amy), Brad Reeves (Lynn), David Reeves (Courtney), Mathew Parker (Leslie) and Sarah McKee, great grandchildren, Amelia Reeves, Mikayla Reeves, Dallas Parker, Jordan Reeves and Waylon Parker along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Alice Young, husband, Dallas Mathews, son, Henry Mathews and son in law, Jerry Reeves along with 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be Thursday, 12pm to 1pm at Stephens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Collinsville, Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 70, Collinsville, MS 39325.
