Doreen Ethel Albert

Doreen Ethel Albert passed away peacefully on November 25th, 2025 in Merritt surrounded by family and loved ones. Born on April 23rd, 1938 in Merritt to Theresa Albert (née Joe) and Wilson Albert. Doreen lived a life guided by kindness, generosity, and a deep passion for style.

Doreen is survived by children, Jill Bolton and Karen Bolton; grandchildren, Dallas Stager and Darnell Stager; and many close friends and relatives.

She was predeceased by: Theresa Albert (Mother,) Wilson Albert (Father,) Dempsey Albert (brother,) Ronnie Albert (Brother) and Jack Charters (Husband).

She will be remembered for loving to travel and explore the world, particularly enjoying traveling across Canada and the U.S.

She enjoyed great food and music and sharing these two activities with friends and family. She curled with colleagues from work and was an avid reader, and loved going to the library to take books out to read.

She had many friends living and working in Merritt that knew her well and enjoyed her company.

Her remains will be cremated with no services as was her request.
