Doug will be forever loved and dearly missed by his wife of 53 years, Catherine; his 3 children - Shawn (Heid) Paterson of Merritt BC, Corey (Kim) Paterson of Calgary AB and Kim (Jim) Paterson of Merritt BC; his 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and 1 more on the way.
Doug is also survived by his brother Dick (Evelyn) Paterson of Merritt and his sister Donna Wrigley of Prince George BC, as well as 3 nieces and 1 nephew and many friends and relatives.
Doug was predeceased by both of his parents, his brother Dareld Paterson and brother-in-law Bill Wrigley.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of wood working. Doug would always find a way to fix anything and if it could be made with wood he would make it.
A Celebration of Doug's Life will be held at a later date.
