Joe was so generous and friendly, always ready to lend a hand. I once admired something in his home in his hearing and found it in my suitcase. He wouldn't take it back so after that I was a little afraid to admire anything.
I have heard of him taking care of several people in their last days.
He had a sense of humour and liked to tease. Him and Art (his brother-in-law and my husband) liked to tease each other. When visiting at each other's houses they would get up early and turn all the pictures upside down. He will be so missed.

My fond memories of Joe begin with how happy he was to see you with a friendly hello or hi kiddo . Joe was living his life to the fullest and enjoyed the finer things in life like nature and his love for animals. Joe treated his Guinea pigs so well they were like his little kids .
I'm going to miss seeing you Joe until our paths meet again rest easy friend
My deepest condolences to his family and many friends
