Steven Ronald Abbott

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Ronald Abbott, age 73, who died after a short stay at Nicola Valley Hospital (Merritt BC) on December 26th 2024. Steven was born on December 3, 1951 in London England, and was a dedicated father, husband, grandfather and friend.

Steven led a life marked by integrity, and dedication. He worked as an electrician for his company, Maranatha Home Services, where his hard work had him involved in many buildings throughout Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. His passion for model railroading was evident to all who knew him, and he spent many hours telling jokes and making those around him laugh.

Above all else, Steven cherished his family and maintained a cheerful outlook. He is survived by Laura, his wife of 53 years, his children: Richard, Craig, Frank, Elizabeth, and Kathryn, his children’s spouses and his many grandchildren.

Steven will always be remembered for his genuine spirit, love for his family, and his ability to bring joy to those around him.

A service for Steven will be held at St. Michael’s Anglican Church in Merritt on January 10th at 11:00 a.m.

May he have life eternal with Jesus.
