Red served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He also was employed as a police officer with Miami Shores Police Dept., Brevard County Sheriff's Dept. and operation of security at KSC. He also was a member of Village Lodge# 315 F. & A.M. Miami Shores, FL.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Mildred May of Cocoa; son, Randall (Cheri) May of Palm Bay; daughter, Cindy May of Rockledge. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, April Copley, Adam (Amanda) Copley, Chanin (Mike) Fuller, Christin (Mike) Carbenia, Randall May, Jr.; 4 great-grandchildren, Zackary, Cayla, Eliana and Mason; and a sister, Myra Gail (Gene) Appleby of PA; and brother-in-law, Donald (Jackie) Walraven.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 4 PM - 6 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 6 PM at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home Chapel, Merritt Island, FL.
