Alice Crouch passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024. She is survived by her son, Mark Crouch; daughter, Vicki Nelson (Bill); and grandson Daniel Nelson (Anna). She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Crouch; her parents, Hallie and Charlie Duncan; and her seven siblings.
Alice and Bob moved from Bemis, Tennessee, to the Merritt Island area in the early 1950's where Bob was stationed at Patrick Air Force Base. She was a bookkeeper and worked at a bank in Cocoa Village while Bob was stationed in Korea. A few years later Bob began his career at the Cape and she continued her work at the bank. They started their family and settled in Merritt Island. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed sewing. The family enjoyed boating and camping and spent many weekends on the river and at state parks.
She later joined a group of ladies at the Merritt Square Mall called "the mall walkers." She enjoyed their friendship and monthly lunches at local restaurants. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and she will be greatly missed.
A special thank you to her caregivers and the entire team from Wuestoff Hospice, and to her caregivers at Pineapple Gardens. You all made her feel special and loved and we are forever grateful.
