Alma Hamm Watson Malone of Cocoa, FL passed away on October 18, 2020. She was born in 1923 to William and Rose Ann Hamm in Carbur, FL. She grew up in Dixie County where she met and married Thomas Watson. While Thomas served in the Navy during WWII, Alma went to work in an airplane factory. They moved to Cocoa in 1950, where she was a homemaker raising three children. Alma was a charter member of King Street Baptist Church where she was active in the WMU, the hospitality committee and taught Sunday School for 25 years. She also volunteered at Wuesthoff Memorial Hospital as a member of the Women’s Auxiliary.
Alma is preceded in death by her parents, twelve siblings, her husband of 35 years Thomas Watson, her husband of 32 years David Malone and her eldest son Elbert Watson. She is survived by her children Donald Watson of Cocoa, FL and his wife Diane; Gloria Watson Muse of Denton, TX and her husband Lonnie. Alma has six grandchildren: Kim, Vanessa, Tyrell, Marcus, Alia and Savannah as well as many great-grandchildren. Other survivors include step-daughters Sara and Nancy, many nieces, nephews and friends.
