Ann Marie was born on January 17, 1929 in Brunswick, GA, a daughter of the late Bernard and Agnes Sutton. She graduated valedictorian from high school in 1945 in Darien, GA. In 1949 she married the late James (Jim) Wilbur moving initially to Tampa and eventually to Cocoa, FL where they settled to raise their family. Ann Marie was a homemaker who always selflessly considered her family first. Once her children were grown she created the business “Draperies by Ann,” sharing her talent for creating custom bedspreads and draperies. She and Jim raised five daughters in Cocoa and the family was a lifelong communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. She could be seen for many years running the cake booth for the church’s annual fair. Ann was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jim who passed away in August 1997 as well as her sister Margaret Wilbur and brother Joseph Sutton.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; loving daughters, Angela Stroda of Cocoa, Amy Wilborn of Cocoa, Jessica Nossaman of Dallas, TX, Margaret Elizabeth Lindow of Cocoa and Terri LaMalva of Stamford, CT; eight grandchildren, Beth (Liz) Hickey, Jimmy Stroda, Leigh Ann McCray, Randy Wilbur, Matthew LaMalva, Teresa Lindow, Casey Stroda, Katlyn Montalbano; and four great grandchildren, Aidan Hickey, Jasper McCray, Rory Wilbur and Jimmie Stroda.
