Bea, as she was affectionately known, was a Cantor in the church choir, served as a volunteer with the Seafarer's Ministry at the Port, as well as a volunteer as a guardian ad litem.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, George "Mickey" Kappes, her son George Michael Kappes, IV, son Benjamin Kappes and three grandsons, Matthew (12), Eli (10) and Noah (8).
Bea enjoyed flowers and birdwatching and loved the simple things in life.
A time of visitation for family and friends will occur on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 1940 N. Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL 32953, followed by a Funeral Mass for Beatrice at 11:00 AM.
Interment will take place 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 N. US Hwy 1, Mims, FL 32754.
