

Bruce was born to Evelyn (Lindsey) and Bruce Laubenheimer Sr. in Indianapolis, Indiana and spent the majority of his life in Brevard County, FL. Bruce received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from the University of Central Florida. As an Aerospace Engineer, Bruce displayed the utmost integrity in his professional career working on the NASA Shuttle program. Bruce was an avid motorcycle and sports car enthusiast. Throughout his life he had many interests and hobbies. He was an engineer, computer expert, guitar player, unofficial chess master, Trekkie, first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and licensed amateur radio operator.
He was a past Worshipful Master with Brevard Masonic Lodge #113 F&AM, member of Canaveral Lodge #339, and Past Patron of Canaveral Chapter No. 297 Order of the Eastern Star. He was an AZAN Shriner and a Lifetime Member of the NRA. He possessed an unwavering commitment to his family and lifelong friendships with their safety and protection being of paramount importance. He loved his family, his friends, his Jeeps, and his German Shepherds. His most prized accomplishments were his children, grandchildren, his name, and his stoic image.

Bruce is predeceased by his first wife, Lori (Gillan); and his father, Bruce Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Kerry (O’Connor), his mother, Evelyn Laubenheimer, Bruce’s son, Kevin Laubenheimer, his daughter, Alison Carpenter, along with their spouses, Kelly Laubenheimer and Michael Carpenter, and Bruce’s five grandchildren (Finn, Ainsley, Shane Laubenheimer, Owen and Evelyn Carpenter); His siblings, Steven (Linda) Laubenheimer, Joyce (Bill) Myers, Fara (Chase) Chambliss, his best friend Rick (Leigh) Kouns, and many nieces, nephews, the Gillan Family and O’Connor Family members.
Bruce will be honored at a Celebration of Life Ceremony at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home at 1360 N. Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL 32953 on Saturday, August 16th from 2pm to 5pm. Dress code is casual - Bruce was not in favor of formal attire.
