She was born in Manila, Phillippines.
Carmen was very active as a volunteer with the following organizations. She was active with Take Stock In Children where she mentored high school students through their graduation dates. She also volunteered with the food pantry on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Grace United Methodist Church, Merritt Island, Florida. She was a Reception/Information Volunteer with the Sunflower House at the Merritt Square Mall, Merritt Island, Florida. Carmen also volunteered wherever needed in the Satellite Beach , Florida office of the Association of the Blind for one day per week and also at special events to honor the blind in that office. Her regular day there was on Friday. She volunteered as a Respite Worker for several families one day per week at Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice and Palliative Care, Viera, Florida. She taught students of all ages how to read and write English as a Literary Volunteer at the Cocoa Public Library , Cocoa, Florida.
Carmen and her surviving husband Richard T. “Tom” Moore Jr. were married on March 29, 1951. She is also survived by her son Richard T. Moore III.
A Memorial Service for Carmen will be held 6:00PM, Tuesday July 15, 2014 at Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home.
