Carolyn Whiteside Plemmons, 76, of Merritt Island, FL, passed away on March 30, 2021, at Cape Canaveral Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Sybil Whiteside and brothers John Frank and David. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Phil, daughter Rebekah Winslow (Drew), son Timothy (Leigh Ann), grandchildren Joshua Winslow, Michael Winslow, Rachel Winslow and Nathaniel Plemmons, and her brother Lane Whiteside (Denise). She was much loved by her husband, children, and grandchildren, and they were very much loved by her in her words and her actions. Her strong faith and love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, was demonstrated in her love and service for her Faith Presbyterian church family and in her lifelong commitment to and enjoyment of teaching His word to both children and adults, and her family benefitted much from the wisdom God granted her in this. She leaves a beautiful legacy of love for Christ and faithfulness in marriage and love for her family, and she also leaves behind her beautiful paintings and quilts and crafts, which she so enjoyed. She found joy in sharing her passion for art and her love for reading and took time teaching her techniques to friends who often joined her in her sunroom as she opened her home for art classes and book groups and Bible studies. As we celebrate the Resurrection this Easter weekend, we rejoice in the joy of knowing that her faith is now sight, and she is with her Savior whom she so trusted and loved, and we are grateful for the way she faithfully pointed all of us to Him.
