Daniel Vincent Ormsby

The son of Jennifer and Paul, Daniel grew up in Merritt Island, FL. He was born January 02, 1985, in Charleston SC and achieved his education through high school in Merritt Island, FL.

In 2005, Daniel enlisted in the United States Army. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Corporal. As part of this service, Daniel was awarded the Purple Heart for his heroic actions in Iraq. He subsequently continued on to serve in the Army National Guard.

Daniel is survived by his wife Heather, children Miley and Colton, parents, grandparents, sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews. His loved ones will remember his selfless character, compassion toward others, contagious laughter, and as always his love for the University of Florida Gators.

A celebration of life for Daniel will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, 1360 N Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL 32953. A committal service will occur Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Hwy 1, Mims, FL 32754.
