I found out late last year that Ray had passed in July and I just sat down and cried.  I went to visit him quite sometime before that and we chatted and visited and had a nice time.  We promised to stay in touch, but time just slipped away and then I tried emailing and calling to no avail.

Then I searched and found that he was no longer here, but in heaven with you.  Your joy and his must of made that corner of heaven shine like a star.  Now I miss both of you, and I am very sad for his family and friends, who are now without both of you.

One of your best friends, Fred Marsden introduced us when you lived in Kissimmee FL while I was going to visit him.  You were such a nice person and you and Fred and I have many happy memories of gatherings at your house and the Chef's Pantry.  I always remember your laugh and your smile and your funny wit.  My heart too is now broken as I lost Fred on Oct 22, 2013 after 23 years.  You and he must be having a great time catching up and laughing about old times. Dear Ray,I am Andy from England who contacted David a few months ago via facebook.We lost contact again when I moved to the North of England and have just today discovered his passing and felt I had to write straight away.I am totally shocked and sad both for you and all who met this outstanding man.I appreciate you know liitle or nothing of me.David was a great friend for many years in Bournemouth,I met him when I was 18,am now 58!but lost touch when he moved to the USA except for a holiday years ago.
 I have the fondest memories of him and all the kindness he showed me over the years as a superb friend and confidant."its me your talking to"he used to say.
 When I finally tracked him down via facebook we had a couple of skype sessions where his love for you came through loud and clear as he updated me,my lasting memory is that he said I had" made his day" as he had tried to find out what had happened to me over the years.
 I know that you made him very happy and contented.
 I can only send belated condolences and sympathy.
 I am proud to call him my friend and will remember him with a smile and a chuckle and look back at the laughs,knowing he lived life to the full.

I just want to spend a couple of minutes and talk about David and someone who was so very dear to me, and too many others. I knew David for over thirty years and from that first day I met him in June 1980 with Lee, it was as if it was just meant to be, one of those special moments that you just knew that there was a special unspoken bond a soul mate you could say.
There are so many precious memories, many of which I am sure we will be talking about later and well into the future but two particular ones that stick in my mind was that first meeting and staying at Richmond Rise, David bringing a bucket into the bedroom for me to soak my teeth in to the wonderful breakfasts and asking him to pass the margarine, to the many trips to America, one in particular the time that we first met Ray and as we always did as soon as we met, through our arms around each other and then mercilessly took the piss out of each other, which is unique to English Queens and the more we did it, meant the more we respected and loved each other unconditionally, but this was unbeknown to Ray who found it quite alarming and actually stopped the car, saying he couldn’t take anymore and what the hell was going on, the three of us busting into hysterics and explained that it was quite normal and of course Ray was a quick learner and became one of us in no time. 
Just to finish on, I have to say that David and I lost touch over the last twelve months and not having visited in a few years we always spoke weekly on Skype and even that started to get less frequent, which was mainly due to me and it something that I will always regret due to becoming perhaps too focused on my profession and too complacent about those people who were so significant and important in my life and expecting them to always be there. I knew I could always count on David and will always treasure those wonderful times, be it shopping together, cooking together, eating together, clubbing together, talking for hours on end, long into the night, about anything and everything  also of course trolling together, I can’t even go there. David was a big part of my life and has always been there regardless of the distance between us. I loved him dearly, Dot you were and always will be my precious sister.
Take care Sis, I will never forget you, you are irreplaceable and I will always miss you.

You may be gone but the memory of you and what youve done for my Grandfather and family will live forever. You are and will be missed. RIP David. Love Ben.

I never knew you David, but I heard lots about you from Jill my bestest friend, and I love the curtains you made for her lounge on her last visit to see you! I can imagine that you were a lovely man with a wonderful sense of humour. My thoughts go out to all your family and friends. Sleep well, God bless. x

Dear Ray,
I cannot feel your pain but can share your grief in David's death. You gave him the security, stability and love that he needed.
David was talented, dedicated to whatever he did with a positive & objective outlook on life. He was wonderful company and a sheer joy to be with: always such fun. 
I will treasure always my longtime friendship with David; in England & Florida since the early 80's.

It was so lovely to be in touch with David after so many years. We went to school together and also lived near each other so often hung out together. He didn't look any different than he did all those years ago. My thoughts are with Ray and the family members. I have a strong belief in the spirit world and am sure David will be with Maurice and others he was close to that have passed.

When our long-term friendship with David becomes a time for memories, there are so many great memories of time spent together with David and Ray that help with the grieving that David's departure brings to us all.

There is a saying that you are a fortunate person indeed if you can count the number of true friends on the fingers of one hand. David Bagg was one of my fingers. The same age, we knew each other from our 20's in Bournemouth England. Wicked sense of humour, always a cup of coffee and a ciggy on the go, a great zest for life. O yes, he's always been like that.

I shall miss my friend David, dreadfully, and I will never forget him, which means he's still a part of me.

Dear Ray, Derral and I grieve with you and for you. In Maori they say "Kia Kaha" which translates as Keep Strong.

David was always fun and personable.  We always enjoyed his enjoyment of working with fabrics, and he really knew his stuff!  He will be missed...he was such a joy, I always looked forward to him helping me find just the right thing.  God keep his beautiful countenance with the sun shining on him always and forever.

I can only think of David with happiness. I don't think I ever saw him agitated or annoyed with any of us pesky customers. He seemed to find gayity in most everything.His special sunshiney manner will be greatly missed.

I think of David and remember how fantastic he was.  I miss his calling me Maggie Mae.  David was truly a great man. My only wish is that God would have let him stay with us longer.

David will truly be missed. I loved talking with him at Hancock while shopping. He always said "here comes trouble" when he saw me LOL.

Dear Ray and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I had the privilege of working with David at Hancocks for many years. He was loved by all who came in contact with him. David was talented, gifted, generous, classy, but I will always remember him for his sense of humor. He could make me crack up with just a "look". Even when being brutally honest about something, he could word it so you didn't mind, a true gentleman. His memory, light, love will live in all of our hearts and we are better for knowing him.

its not possible to imagine the world without such a peaceful and kind human being! .. 
though only meeting a couple of times, you managed to bring such love, peace,kindness and of corse humour! my time in florida with mum and clair has given me so many memories and thankfuly gave me the chance to properly meet you! i still cant get to grips with the thought i wont be able to do that again however i will always have your spirit looking down!

Uncle David,

Although not my Uncle by blood, he sure made me feel like i was part of the family. I smile thinking the moments ive shared with him, from the runaway train at animal kingdom to  left right and centre...mimis for breakfast and the magical fireworks at epcot, each one a memory i will cherish.
Thankyou for opening my eyes to 'Pretty Women'...without you i would be none the wiser of such a great film!

I was so saddened to read the notice at Hancock yesterday about David. He connected to people so openly and easily with his lovely, joyful personality. I am certain he was the 'go to' guy for many customers. David was the face of Hancock for me. He will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to his family.
