Don Lemon

Hershel Donald Lemon, “Don” to all who knew him, passed away at the age of 83 on January 27, 2017 in Merritt Island, FL. He is survived by his wife Maria Anna, his sons Richard & David, his granddaughter Lexi Elise, his sisters Wanda, Pauline & Judy, his brother David, and his beloved, crazy beagle “Bullet”.

Don was retired Air Force where he spent 21 years in communications. He then worked another 23 years for the Navy civil service, also in communications. After he retired, he moved to Florida to be near his sons, Richard and David.

Don was a caring person who always took the time to stop to ask people how they were doing and what was going on in their lives. He loved to laugh and joke around, and to sit and enjoy a drink with his sons and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Wylie Baxley Funeral Home on Merritt Island. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in his name to his favorite charity, St. Judes Children’s Hospital where he faithfully donated for years.
