I looked forward to catching up with Doug every Fall on our friend Barry’s fishing trip. Doug never met a stranger and always had interesting stories and experiences to share. People seemed to take an instant liking to him, I’m confident he left many friends and business associates who will miss him. Doug was always exploring whether in life or business. Without fail Doug was quick to bring me up on how Lance was doing.
You’ll be missed, sir.

Great man! Fun to be around. Always willing to give you anything he had. Mr. Jenkins was very proud of Lance. When he needed his ass beaten he got it. Living next door to you and your dad, are precious memories with the meals your dad would cook. Allowing us to ride in the back of his BIG yellow truck and pick oranges from his land. The wonderful wood work with his Shop Smith, and the fun we had playing smear the queer in our yards. The grass didn’t grow around our houses. It is hard to believe your dad is gone! I love you man! 

I lived next door to Mr. Jenkins  for 16 years and I have  tons and fun memories. One great memories of Mr. Jenkins  was he hand crafted my twin brother , Lance and I a wooden marionette duck 🦆 on a string.  It was so cool and a memory that I still have. He was always so kind and supportive of all three of us. Very kind and gentle man. He always found time to talk.  He took us to watch Lance ride his motorcycle and allowed us to ride some although my parents said never ride a motorcycle. I will always remember him working on his 1955 yellow Ford pickup truck. He totally restored it. I didn’t see him after I left for college for several years. He and Lance showed up at my fathers funeral last year and it was great catching up with both of them, it was like old times  and Mr. Jenkins was so interested in how my life was going and what I was doing.  Mr. Jenkins will be so missed! RIP Mr. Jenkins! Prayers for you Lance🙏🏻
